The planet itself is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit in its own right. The entire surface is ravaged by these incredible, 15km deep, fog filled ravines. See this image. The cherry on the top for base jumpers tho' is that there are a number of greenish mountains with domed landable summits which rise around 15km above the pinkish surface below. A black hole system. It also has a high g planet. Planet A4 has a gravitational pull of 4.12g, thats 4.12 times that of earth. Try to land without splatting your spaceship. I managed to land a Diamond Back Explorer, Python and Asp Explorere here without any problems but then I got cocky and tried to land a full loaded Cutter, and splat well more like bounce, bounce, splat. The system is not far from Maia, around 22 Ly. Now there is the station here : Ceres Tarn. Anyways it is on the planet and has full RRR, Outfitting and Shipyard facilities. | ||||

A black hole system in the Pleiades nebula, there are another 2 nearby, one in HR 1185 and one in HIP 17000. This is home to the first nebula based station(s). It is a great jumping off point for exploring the California nebula, Witch nebula, …). Be careful in Open Play there could be human pirates about. I would recommend Explorers to only enter this system either in Solo or in a trusted player group. In and around Maia there is a cluster of blue star systems so bring your scanners (ADS and DSS). There are also several pristine metallic rings around, see here. There is actually a reasonably profitable trade route between Obsidian Orbital and Darnielle's Progress (a planetary station) within this system and it take a minute or so to travel between the 2, this must be one of the fastest trade routes in the game. There are also a lot of missions at both stations back to the bubble and to some military stations in the area. Last but not least, all 3 major factions (Federation, Empire and Alliance) are present here so you can collect bounties for all 3 at once. | |

Close to the other inhabited Alliance system in the California Sector, another Hi-Tech planetary station, Mahon Research Base, is based here. A great stop off point for explorers and for exploring the California nebula in particular. Also this station buys metals and some minerals at reasonably good prices so could make a great mining base, although mining equipment is thin on the ground, either bring it with you or have it transported out here but you will be able to stock up on limpets when you arrive. The mission and passeneger mission boards were both empty at this system when I visited. | |

When I was here I never saw a single mission available, passenger or otherwise, even when I was Allied, still the same in this respect 22/09/2019. The Ice rings of gas giant planet 9 have 2 Void Opal and 4 LTD hot spots so there is mining possibilities here. | |

It is on the way to the Guardian Structures/Ruins when coming from the bubble. Seeker's rest seems to be a new design for an outpost, it still has the same basic shape but a few different antennas and solar panels. Like the mining station in Robigo, it is floating above the ring, (110 km above it in fact) of the nearby gas giant but not close enough to the ring that you can simply boost your way in to it in a couple of minutes. Has RRR facilities, Outfitting but no Shipyard. The nearest booster neutron star is HIP 41817 which is 82.6 Ls away. When I was here, there were no missions in the mission boards, normal or passenger. If you are going to Synuefe EN-H d11-96, where The Prospect station is, or the Guardian area in general, use the neutron star in HR 2994 (245.8 Ly away) as a boost. |

| 772.7 | Synuefe EN-H d11-96 | - H - | Far out Stations | The Prospect, Indigo Dock | Both outposts (no large ships) are high tech stations, they have the same facilities (RRR, O, a Guardian Technology broker, but no Shipyard). The Prospect is 2,332 ls from the entry star orbiting planet 7 whilst the Indigo is further out (3,345 ls) orbiting planet 9. This system is in the Guardian Structures/Ruins area. One of 2 megaships comes to this system once a week from the Zende system in the bubble. Jump on the megaship, orbiting planet 6, on a Wednesday evening to get to Zende on the Thursday morning and vice versa. Use the neutron star in nearby HIP 37966 (39 Ly away) to give yourself a boost in whichever direction you are heading. You can boost from the Indigo straight into the rocky ring around planet 9, it is 40 km from the station and takes a couple of minutes to reach, and it definitely has the better views of either station. However, the Prospect orbits moon 7A which has a Guardian Structure and multiple Brain Tree sites as well as Geological sites. |

The Conduit, Sadler's Song | One of 2 megaships departs this system every week going to the Synuefe EN-H d11-96 system in the guardian region of space. Jump on the megaship, orbiting planet A 1, on a Wednesday evening to get to system Synuefe EN-H d11-96 (784 ly from Sol) in the middle of the Guardian region on the Thursday morning or vice versa. This is also a useful gateway for far out miners to reach pristine rings out in the black and explorers to get a quick getaway or return to the bubble. |

| 784.7 | Mirphak | Materials Hunter | Planetary object A 2 is a beautiful velvet red coloured class IV gas giant. All of the moons of this gas giant are metal rich and so well worth a detailed scan. They are also very small, the largest is 210 km in radius. Most interesting of all is the moon A2d which has a very high 3.2% Niobium, one of the highest in the galaxy according to EDDB. It also has Arsenic at 2.2% and Selenium at 3.3%. There is a pod of type B blue stars nearby, including a black hole in nearby 39 Delta Persei. So although it is slightly away from the bubble it is well worth a snozzle. | ||
